University students walk through the streets of Porto. The Academic Parade is one of the most important moments of the "Queima das Fitas" week (Burning of the Ribbons week).
This is a high point for both freshmen students, who take the opportunity to create bonds between them, as for the finalists, who say goodbye to the academic life.
Many are the family members who wait hours to see their sons and daughters walking in the parade.
