About happy reencounters, it's usual to say that the world is small. And in the new restaurant downtown Porto, appropriately named Mundo, the reunion is a good omen.
João Lameiras is the consultant chef of the space imagined by José Ribeiro and Carlos Bravo, being thus reunited the team responsible for the successful experiences in the 'Casa de Pasto da Palmeira' and in the 'LSD'.
In the menu, there is a world to discover, unpredictable and unexpected, as is the chef's habit.
On the walls of the room, graffiti paintings reflect the multiculturalism of space through female portraits representing each of the continents.
In the menu, the geographical division does not exist and much less are typical dishes of this or that country.
The fusion emerges from its purest state, where "influences blend and combine between different techniques, flavors and ingredients", explains the chef.
Who enters, makes a small stop by the bar. The World is also divided. The purpose is simple: "The idea is to separate the two spaces, between restaurant and bar, but to make them interact throughout the night.", says Carlos Bravo, one of the project partners.
