The Municipal Police and the PSP (Public Security Police) made four dumps related to the trafficking drug practice in the Pasteleira's neighborhood, Lordelo do Ouro. Only one of the municipal houses had not yet been vacated.
It was shortly after nine in the morning when the police cars came through the neighborhood with armed intervention teams and riot protection. They were not going for a raid. They were going to make evictions.
Aggregates were reported in the beginning of the week that they had until the end of the week to leave the house.
Tania (epresented in order to protect the identity in the portraits), 33 years old made days before, had emptied the house. "I'm with my two children sleeping on the sofa of a friend", she confessed. "It's only for a few days. I'm unemployed and do not know what I'll do now. I've been in prison, if the court has given me a second chance and I am fulfilling all right, the City Council should do the same".
Patricia, 39 years old, has also been notified that it will be dumped. "Four years ago I made a mistake. I've paid for what I did. Now comes the City Council to punish me again," she complained. "Do you think this is how people can turn around their lives?" Patricia live with five people, including a minor. Everyone will have to leave. "It is also not fair. For one person, everyone pays", she complained.
In May, the City Council filed 41 eviction process to residents in Lordelo do Ouro for using the houses for traffic.
